Decorative/Cosmetic Appearance
In addition to finishes which are designed for functionality, DECC also applies decorative coatings and cosmetic coatings that serve an aesthetic purpose. We currently apply decorative coatings for a number of different industries.
Automotive coatings are being applied to roof rack and rear window bolts for domestic and the new-domestic automotive manufacturers. Not only are the finishes Class A, but they also serve as UV protective.
Avionic coatings are being applied for components in the cockpits of high end aircraft. The manufacturers want to make sure that there is quality in the detail, no matter how small a component is, or where it is located.
Improved identification of similar looking items can be achieved through color coding. Military coatings are being applied to help visually differentiate projectiles: from practice rounds, to a wide variety of battle rounds. These coatings are not only color distinctive, they are also tough and durable.
