DECC utilizes two separate methods for building a mechanical surface on parts prior to coating services. It is these two prep processes that give our finished product superior adhesion. Both our aluminum oxide blast, and our micro crystalline phosphate departments are PLC controlled to guarantee consistent performance and excellent coating services. These state of the art controls are a byproduct of our Engineering and Quality efforts to make DECC the Best In Class in our industry.

Our PLC controlled aluminum oxide surface preparation units optimize consistent coating bond performance on a variety of substrates, each with its very own program engineered for that part’s geometry and application need.

Another surface prep process for coating services in our arsenal is our PLC controlled Microcrystalline Zinc Phosphate line that provides a very thin crystalline film that enhances both corrosion resistance and adhesion. (A Microcrystalline Zinc Phosphate process “250 milligrams +/-50 per square inch.”)

Titrations are checked every 4 hours to insure that the baths are within specification limits. NOTE: We also have another, smaller, Microcrystalline Zinc Phosphate line located in our R&D Department. This smaller R&D phosphate line is used to develop production capable processes which are later launched on the production floor of our facility.
