Coating Descriptions
GEOMET 321
A zinc and aluminum flake base-coat in an inorganic binder developed for the worldwide marketplace. Completely chrome-free, GEOMET® 321 is a water based coating passivated with zinc and aluminum flakes that provide a high performance, low-film, functional coating to protect fasteners and many types of metallic hardware from corrosion.
GEOMET 720
Developed to meet the standards of Asian OEMs in the automotive industry, GEOMET® 720 is a completely chrome-free, water based coating passivated with zinc and aluminum flakes in a binder. This high performance, low-film, functional zinc flake coating is designed to protect fasteners, stampings, and many types of metallic hardware from corrosion.
PLUS ML
PLUS® ML topcoats are lubricated sealers specifically engineered for application over GEOMET® base-coats. PLUS® ML provides controlled friction coefficient of 0.13 ± 0.03 for threaded parts and increase the resistance to corrosion. PLUS® ML Black is available.
PLUS L
PLUS® L topcoats are lubricated sealers specifically engineered for application over GEOMET® base-coats. PLUS® L provides controlled friction coefficient of 0.11 ± 0.03 for threaded parts and increase the resistance to corrosion. A limited range of translucent topcoats are available to give a wash of color for part identification.
PLUS VL
PLUS® VL lubricated sealer topcoats are specifically designed to be applied over GEOMET® base coats. VL provides a controlled coefficient of friction of 0.09 ± 0.14, corrosion resistance, and resistance to industry solvents and automotive fluids. The coating is water-based and can be colored for part identification.
PLUS ML2
PLUS® ML2 is a PFAS-free, water-based topcoat that delivers a controlled coefficient of friction between 0.10 ± 0.16. It provides excellent lubrication, corrosion protection, and chemical resistance, making it an ideal solution for automotive fasteners and metal components without the risk of hydrogen embrittlement.
PLUS XL2
PLUS® XL2 is a PFAS-free coating that delivers a low, controlled friction coefficient of 0.06 ± 0.09. XL2 reduces friction and wear while providing excellent protection from corrosion and chemical resistance to solvents and automotive fluids. PLUS® XL2 is available in both silver and black finishes.
PLUS VLh2
PLUS® VLh2 is a PFAS-free, water-based topcoat that provides a controlled coefficient of friction between 0.09 ± 0.14. When applied over GEOMET® basecoats, it creates a protective barrier that enhances corrosion resistance while providing excellent chemical resistance.
